Monsoon rains and ramblings

Delhi has been experiencing great weather for the last few months thanks to the rainy season. In this part of the world we call it the Monsoons - the four month rainy season from June to September, which brings down the soaring temperatures of an Indian summer. For the positive thinking population (no we are not trying to be trite, but rain logged streets and other pedestrian miseries can be enjoyed by the negative peeps through the newspapers) , so to continue, for the happy peeps rainy days are a happy treat indeed !!

It is on one of these perfect rainy days that today's blog was born. Ankita, Bani, D and S  had gathered to celebrate the arrival of C ( S's true love, her Canon5D Mark 3). S wanted to do test shots, but it was raining outside. So we ordered some great kebabs from The Daily Curry (one of the best home deliveries in Gurgaon, here's the url:http://www.thedailycurry.com/ ) alongwith Sula Chenin Blanc ( thats indian vino, great stuff if you don't like your wine too dry :) to wait for the rain to stop.

By the time evening came around, the rain was still dancing, Ankita and Bani were playing dress up with D's wardrobe ( usually happens when girlfriends gather in D's house, D is a hoarder of shoes, bags and accessories ;P) and S was teaching C the first baby steps of working with limited lighting ( haha what an understatement considering the cloudy weather, CFL bulbs, and C's fastidious new age technology). The resultant pics were very memorable to us personally, but for a blog post, it was a disaster. But in memory of that beautiful rainy evening when we decided to launch our blog, D and S tried some amateur photoshop and dressed up the pics with vectors and illustrations. Hope you like them ( we love them of course !!)

This would have been our first blog post really, but better late than never :) We had such fun with you two, with no make up and no hair styling, you both look splendid !! You were our first "friend models" and for that Ankita Berry and Banishikha Gogoi, you will always always be so special to DSB, thanks !!!
