Allright people ... we have that introduction out of the way ... the official one that is :p ... but we at Delhi Style Blog are not official ... uh huh ... we are not fashion trained ... infact we are fashion lingo virgins ! That is why we write about stuff the way we see it ... if you want fashion design and construction dissertation ... then there are many esteemable media sources and fellow bloggers you might want to look up ( we look them up too heheh ). Our twitter account managed by D brings you live tweets from all the shows we attend (until her phone battery commits suicide from overuse and misuse like it happened last evening :O) Hope you are following us on https://twitter.com/DimpyKapur  ! Yesterday was Day 1 and here are the updates from our side ( sorry for being late ... whose idea was it to start Fash Week on a saturday we would like to know .... hmphhhh ... we were busy attending The Other People, live show at Bluefrog ... retro classy music is more our thing then Steve Aoki at Kitty Su :)
Atsu Sekhose
This delicious looking dreamboat made us smile ( aka very very wicked grin like a female would understand hahahahaha ). Our first impression was "he is hotttt" ... second ... " damn he is so cool " .... heheh ... Atsu is the type you can take home to your father ... very well groomed, dapper, understated and suave with lazy eyes ... he was wearing a very well cut shirt ( the Brook Brothers / Saville Row bespoke type :) and trousers that deffo reminded us of Tom Ford somehow ... all manly elegance.
Lest you think otherwise, this is not an ode piece to a person, but we at DSB believe that a designer is the best model for his creation ... from that yardstick Atsu stands out totally ! His show had the coolest runway track too ... D sneakily tried to Shazam it ( if you don't know what Shazam is you don't like music, so therefore this info is pretty useless ;P) ... but Shazam couldnt identify the music ... so today we are gonna hunt down his PR for the runway track ( we collect runway music at DSB ... so if you want some great tracks just drop us a mail ) The entrance to the runway was decorated with Naga spears ... indicating the North East motif and design elements running through his collection !
His bermuda shorts, parka jackets , trench coats reminded us of the Burberry Prorsum SS 2013 collection ... what a pleasure to see on trend clothes showcased by an Indian designer in keeping with the international fashion timeline. His clothes were super stylish but meant for a fit body ... we loved his colour palette of Muga beige, Naga red, black and cobalt blue, infact we have decided to dig more into his design style, we so love it .... so expect another post on him soon ... in the meantime enjoy this short capsule of pics !

Geisha Designs
Shalini Jaikaria and Paras Bairoliya make up Geisha Designs .... just say the word "geisha" and it conjures up an ethereal feminine delicate sophisticate who looks soft but has a core of steel ( hey this is not a paid post ok ... these are our words ... because we haved lived with Sayuri from Memoirs of a Geisha from the first page to the last ... and for us at DSB, she is the ultimate eastern Cinderella )
D went mad tweeting live from their show, (if you were following her on twitter you would know ... infact she tweeted so much that Wills Life Style, the sponsors, started following her on twitter ... (bragging ;D ) .... the gowns were so romantic, beautiful, old world and dreamy ... with peach, gold and coral combinations .... that it pulled you into a fantasy land of feminine, sophisticated and well bred ladies, lounging around with their handsome swains under the shades of an weeping willow by a gently babbling brook ....... ( lol we told you before we love drama ... and if its the edwardian dainty tea party types .... bring it on !! ) But seriously we loved the gowns that came down the runway towards the end ... we would so wear it for special occassions ... its only a matter of time before you see celebrities on the red carpet in them !! And we totally dig the hairstyle ... those jewelled Calla Lilies in the hair were a beaut !!

Thats all for now .... we were bad girls last night ... partied the whole night away .... so this is quite a rushed post ... running to the day 2 shows now .... we will keep you updated on twitter .... and hey if you are at WIFW at pragati maidan ... give us a shout .... until then Adios !!
